We love arranging flowers, and giving other people the confidence to do it too. We offer both leisure and professional workshops throughout the year, inspired by the changing seasons and the flowers in our field. Many brides are also interested in doing some or all of their own wedding flowers and we are happy to teach wedding floristry, including posy-tying, buttonholes and flower crowns.
Dates for Leisure workshops covering working with garden plant material, British flowers and wedding floristry for DIY brides for 2020 are being finalised and will be posted here and via Social media pages. Christmas wreath workshops are extremely popular and fill up quickly, so please join our mailing list for first chance to book.
Please use the contact form below to join our mailing list stating your interest in Leisure or professional workshops for priority booking.
Flower arranging workshops can be a fun birthday, professional development or hen party activity and we are happy to arrange private workshops for groups. Guide prices are offered below, but please contact us to discuss if you are interested.
- Group flower arranging sessions at our Tarleton studio max 4 people – From £75 per person
- Larger group (6-15) workshops held at Longton WI Hall – £35-£50 per person
- Wedding floristry workshops (for DIY brides) – £150 per bride, plus £75 per additional person.
Our professional floristry tuition is practical, natural and creative, with the emphasis on helping those new to floristry build a profitable business based around seasonal, sustainable, low carbon flowers. We can also help mainstream florists with established businesses start the transition towards a “greener” floristry business.
We design one-to-one and small group workshops on request for florists and growers keen to develop their skills further, particularly those who want to work with the seasons, use garden flowers in wedding floristry, or transition to work without floral foam.
- Professional floristry tuition: Bespoke one- to- one sessions from £300 per day
Small group workshops focusing on particular floristry skills such as wired bouquets, flower crowns, creative table arrangements, floral arches and installations, and no floral foam design will be listed seasonally to fit in between our weddings and events.
Whilst classroom based training is valuable, we believe that skills are best developed in the real world of floristry rather than in a flower school. A limited number of opportunities to assist our larger weddings and events are available each year for florists with some experience and an interest in sustainability. These will require early mornings, cutting flowers from the field as well as arranging, delivery and set up. Please contact us with your CV if you are interested in working with us.
